Austin PBS

Graphic and Production Artist

As an intern at Austin PBS, I worked on:

  • On-air graphics (e.g. lower thirds, bumpers)

  • Digital projects (e.g. web banners, social media graphics, email banners)

  • Printed materials (e.g. event posters, signs, and programs)

Branded Television Graphics

I collaborated to propose a new logo, typography, and color palette for the television show Central Texas Gardener, and developed graphics for on-air use: bumpers, lower thirds, and patterns for use in the intro.

See the full description of this project on the Central Texas Gardener case study page.

Print

I used InDesign (with occasional edits in Photoshop) to create printed programs
to be handed out at live tapings of the Austin City Limits television show, which occur at the Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater stage (capacity 2,750).

Social Media Tiles

I created graphics for Austin PBS social media using Illustrator and Photoshop.
Graphics were visible to 16.9K Instagram followers, 35K Facebook followers, and 39.1K Twitter followers.

Homepage Banners

I developed homepage banners to showcase current promotions, such as AAPI Heritage Month, or the PBS streaming service Passport. This entailed color choices, photo selection and editing, layout design, and following brand guidelines.

Events

I created collateral, including signs, for a range events. Shown below are the signs for Family Fest, an event featuring characters from many PBS KIDS shows, community booths, and interactive activities.
